From our Founder
No one wakes up one day and says, “You know what? I think I’ll start a charity! Oh, and I’ll make the charity one of the toughest subjects out there. A subject that most people turn away from and that most people don’t want to face.” Nobody gets a 501(c)(3) up and running with that thought. No one!
I never dreamed that I would have a 501(c)(3) or be the CEO and Chairman of a charity board. But I am, and it forces me out of my comfort zone every day. It stretches me as a person and it makes me grow.

To you, my volunteers and donors, saying Thank You is not enough. What I should say is that I’m in awe of you. Your white light is blinding, your humanity is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. On behalf of my mother who helped so many with so little before she left this earth, I am in debt to you. And having you by my side makes me feel like I can do anything. Let’s Do This!!

Skid Row is without a doubt the toughest, meanest, and most challenging environment to do outreach work in, but the MVP team shines every time. We go there without fear and we open our hearts to those who are stuck in the cycle of persistent homelessness.
